Please read the following information - it is here to help you to find your new kitten.
Please be aware that the MCCC and the GCCF, the UK governing body that we are affiliated to, do not set the price of kittens, individual breeders decide what price they ask for a kitten.
Potential buyers should think long and hard before buying a Maine Coon, it is a life long commitment. Take time to contact reputable breeders to discuss the breed and possible kittens available. Please remember that breeders do not always have kittens due to be born or soon to be available so you may need to be patient.
Advance Notification - Due to the kitten list co-ordinator's work commitments, there will be no weekly kitten list update on 17th May. The list has been updated on 10th May, next update will be 24th May. The kitten list co-ordinator is unable to respond to club emails between 11th-23rd May.
The Maine Coon Cat Club does not formally endorse any of the breeders listed. However all the breeders on the MCCC Breeders’ List have agreed to abide by the principles of the GCCF Code of Ethics and requirements of the MCCC. Potential new owners should ideally visit and use their judgement on whether to purchase a kitten. Kittens should be in good health, be at least 13 weeks of age and fully vaccinated before being collected. The breeder must provide a pedigree, registration certificate, diet sheet and vaccination record upon collection. The MCCC cannot be held responsible for individual breeders’ kittens, any health issues, information or documentation supplied, or any form of contract agreed between parties. It is strongly recommended that new owners take their kitten to their own vet for a full health check as soon as possible afer purchase.
We aim to update this list on a weekly basis to give the latest information possible, but we rely on our breeders to keep us informed when they have kittens for sale and when they have been sold. (Breeder List Members - please send in your additions/removals by Saturday evening for inclusion the following week). For a full list of breeders in your area, you may wish to visit our "Club Maine Coon Breeders” page as well as this one. Sometimes local breeders may have new kittens that they have not yet put on the list and it may be worth contacting them if there is nothing suitable on our current kitten list.
All breeders on this list have agreed to abide by the GCCF Code of Ethics for Breeders & Owners. However, the Maine Coon Cat Club cannot be held responsible for individual breeders, their cats and kittens or any information or advice they may give, or any agreements between parties.
