The Maine Coon Cat Club Show 3rd October 2026

Our annual show takes place in early October each year. Maine Coon exhibitors travel from all over the UK to compete and almost everyone enters the show with the dream of possibly winning Overall Best in Show Exhibit. The show is held just off the M42 near Tamworth, in the Midlands, it is easily accessible as major routes from north, south, east and west converge in that area. It is the largest gathering of Maine Coons under one roof, anywhere in the UK.
The first Maine Coon Cat Club Show took place in 1994, and since then, apart from 2020 and 2021 when no shows took place because of the Covid pandemic, we have held a show every year. You can see a full list of all the previous winners in our history section document. We are already busy organising our 2026 show - 3rd October 2026, our 25th Championship Show, so we are celebrating this silver anniversary with some extra special things! More information can be found further down on this page and watch out for further announcements closer to the time. We have also produced a video showing photos of every Overall Best in Show Winner from our first show in 1994, right through to 2025.

A great guideline for new GCCF exhibitors can be found here https://www.gccfcats.org/shows-activities/shows-events/getting-started/ Show Whites - what are they? All cats being shown with GCCF must have blankets, litter trays, water bowls and food bowls in their cages. These four items must be white. Does my cat need to be vaccinated? Yes, it must be up to date with vaccinations. Unvaccinated cats or cats where their vaccinations have lapsed cannot be shown. If its warm can I use a cooling blanket or battery fan? Yes, but please contact the show team for further advice on what is acceptable. Fans must be safe so the cat cannot get paws into it and cause injury to itself. What is the club doing to celebrate the silver anniversary? Lots of things - celebration cake, special goodies for exhibitors, spot cash prizes for exhibitors, to name a few.
